Fangmin wu
“Fangmin Wu is an Australian artist based in Sydney. Born in China and immigrated to Australia in 1990. He began his solo art exhibition since 1997 after he graduated from the Sydney College of Arts with an Honours Degree in Visual Arts.Fangmin Wu's artistic practice is broad and diverse, often addressing current events and social issues through thoughtful reflections on different cultures, religions, and histories. His landscape paintings are not merely depictions of nature, but passionate and deeply personal interpretations. For example, his recent "Red Land Series" visually explores his encounter with Uluru in central Australia, inviting the viewer on a contemplative journey toward deeper, more mysterious realms. His artistic language masterfully blends elements of Impressionism and Expressionism, capturing the essence and spirit of the land. Oil and acrylic painting are his preferred methods. In recent years, Wu's works have been selected for several major art exhibitions both in Australia and internationally.”
